I am not a big fan of H&M – probably because I can never really fit into some of the things I really want. Not their fault, I know, but I tend to stay away from stores with extremely small sizes because it is just a waste of time thinking that I will be lucky and find something that actually fits me.

A year or so ago, amidst finals and end of year festivities, I decided to take a walk downtown and found myself at H&M and ZARA. I found the dress below at H&M and could not figure out where to really wear this dress to since it was a little tight for church and a bit too “lacey” for work.

Personally, I do not like returning things after I leave the store so I just kept it in my closet and figured that an event that calls for this dress will eventually pop up.

As for the shoes, I love pointy shoes and I love gold. When I saw the shoes on ZARA’s website, I felt it was a bit too shiny for me and did not want to purchase it. Several months later, this has become one of my favorite shoes – ever. It is extremely comfortable and I just love the way it looks.

I call this look Corporate Chic because the dress has a professional look, however, the lace at the sleeves and the bottom of the dress give it a very edgy look. While I personally cannot wear this dress in a professional setting due to my hips being quite big and the dress being extremely form fitting, someone else could probably make this look work for work, ha!

Stay adventurous, dear friends, and always remember to stay golden. All ways, always.

Sincerely,

Samuella
